John Keats was born in London in 1795. His parents ran a livery stable. Orphaned at fourteen, he was apprenticed to an Apothecary. He began to write poetry however, living off a meagre inheritance. After making a remarkable impression on a number of friends he died of tuberculosis aged only 25 and leaving a body of poetry which was to astonish the world. The DVD covers his life and background.
